Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: the basic knowledge about regeneration; to delineate the major differences between passive and active regeneration; to understand the physiologic process of organism in the course regeneration; to understand the chronological process of regeneration; to understand the chanching regeneration of the type in the sports motion to make the regeneration plane for athletic discipline
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student is able to:
1. to explain the difference between active and passive recovery
2. to analyse the athlete training loads
3. to design a suitable type of regeneration for the expected type of fatigue
Syllabus
  • Lectures:
  • -Regeneration - fundamental concepts
  • -Stress reaction
  • -Regenerative form
  • -Acute and chronic fatique
  • -Regenerative pedagogical means
  • -Regenerative psychological means
  • -Regenerative biological means
  • -Regenerative pharmacological means
  • -Physiological and pathological fatigue
  • -Physiological aspect of the motion
  • Seminars:
  • -Postural stability and deep stabilization system- injury prevention, practical demonstration
  • -Stress testing of the athlete (demonstration of protocols + subsequent analysis of data)
  • -Isokinetic testing in relation to sports regeneration
  • -Using of compression garments in relation to performance and athlete´s regeneration
  • -Influence of negative thermotherapy and its application in sport
  • -The use of selected forms of hydrotherapy in athlete´s regeneration
  • -Myofascial release with using foamrollers

Assessment methods
1. Attendance (two absence is permitted)
2. Regularly preparation at seminars
3. Test. Test comprises 30 questions. When a student answers a question correctly, he/she is awarded a point for it. To pass the test, the student must reach the score of at least 21 points.
