Knowledge of the basic concepts of science methodology (quantitative and qualitative research, structure and types of research) and descriptive statistics (measuring scales, position levels, variability, dependence). Knowledge of their application in research data analysis.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is only offered to the students of the study fields the course is directly associated with.

Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to acquire a set of knowledge and skills leading to the successful elaboration of the research project and subsequently the final (master's) work in the context of relevant methodological-statistical procedures.
Learning outcomes
After completing the subject, students are able to: - to define the basic concepts of science methodology, quantitative and qualitative research; name the research problem and choose a suitable type of research; cite relevant knowledge of the studied literature; explain the objective objective, formulate research questions/hypotheses; describe the research file and the method of selection; characterize the structure of scientific work; use methodological knowledge in the creation of a research project; - define the basic concepts of measurement theory, methods of descriptive and inference statistics; analyze research data by descriptive statistics methods; calculate position, variability and dependence rates; test research hypotheses by inference statistics methods; to formulate research conclusions; summarize the content of research work in the abstract.
