Cíle předmětu
The aim of the subject is to extend students' knowledge in the field of alternative forms of regeneration. After successful finishing, the student gains not only the orientation of current athletic regeneration trends but is also able to undergo a critical assessment of the use of the practice.
Výstupy z učení
After completing the course the student is able to:
1. determine alternative forms of athlete´s regeneration with regard to their practical applicability in sport practice
2. identify key points in each form of regeneration that have a direct impact on the athlete's performance
3. interpret data from spectral analysis of heart rate variability
4. practice exercises with the use of foam rollers
5. apply Schultz's autogenous training and Jacobson's progressive relaxation into the training process
6. evaluate the real use of dietary supplements for athletes and non-athletes
Osnova
  • Lectures:
  • 1. Current trends in the athlete's regeneration and its applicability in practice (influence athlete´s regeneration on biochemical, performance and subjective parameters).
  • 2. Autonomic nervous system – the basic control of the internal balance of the human organism.
  • 3. Spectral analysis of heart rate variability in relation to regeneration.
  • 4. Foam rollers and their effects in the preparation of an athlete (expected effect and current state of current scientific literature).
  • 5. Use of foam rollers in athlete's regeneration (fascia, general arrangement of fascia in the body, myofascial chains, function of fascia, possibility of affecting fascia).
  • 6. Use of compression garments in sport.
  • 7. The use of a training mask in the preparation of an athlete - the current state of the problem reflecting the knowledge in the scientific literature.
  • 8. The use of hydrotherapy in athlete regeneration (effect of hydrostatic water pressure on the athlete's regeneration after exercise, influence of water temperature on the metabolites removal).
  • 9. Negative thermotherapy and its use in the sports training.
  • 10. Use of breathing techniques (optimal breath wave, muscle relaxation) in the regeneration of an athlete.
  • 11. Meaning and use of the experience of movement and experience forms of exercise in regeneration.
  • 12. The use of relaxation techniques as a means of athlete´s regeneration.
  • 13. Sports nutrition in the context of athlete´s regeneration (use of supplements).
  • Seminars:
  • 1. Heart rate variability measurement and its data interpretation (use in planning the training process and targeted athlete´s regeneration).
  • 2. Self-Myofascial Release Techniques with Foam Rollers - practical exercises.
  • 3. Use of compression garments in sport.
  • 4. Recovery protocols using water (practical examples of protocols).
  • 5. Schultz's autogenous training, Jacobson's progressive relaxation, mental training in the regular physical activity.
  • 6. Role of the movement experience for regular physical activity (movement economy, quality of movement stereotype) - practical demonstrations of exercises.
  • 7. Application of sports nutrition in the acute phase of regeneration.
