- Course objectives
- To obtain basic theoretical information about the possibilities of sport and physical activity of children, youth and adults with special needs.
To inform about the possibilities of inclusion of people with disabilities in the field of physical activity and about appropriate physical activities in relation to specific disabilities.
To allow practical experience and use theoretical knowledge to work with pupils with special educational needs in school physical education.
To know how to make an Individual education plan for pupils with SEN to PE and to know how to work with pupils with SEN in the common lessons of PE.
In groups, create and implement teaching units for invited students from the "paragraph" school. Use cross-curricular cooperation - Psychomotorics.
Be able to reflect on the IEP for a specific student within the framework of peer evaluation in the IS. - Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to: - Know appropriate sports and physical activities for people with different types of disabilities - to propose an individual educational program for physical education for pupils with special educational needs - to design and plan the possibilities of including a pupil with different types of disability into common physical education - reflect on IEP within the framework of peer evaluation - be aware of the overlaps and permeability of individual areas and subjects in working with students with SEN
- Syllabus
- Inclusion in Physical Education - Legislation, Liberation, Relaxation in Physical Education. Physical impairment - appropriate exercises and physical activities, possibilities of self-realization in the field of sport (sitting volleyball, basketball on a cart, handbikes), inclusion of a pupil with physical disabilities into common physical education - modification of sports activities, principles, specifics Mental disability - appropriate exercises and exercise games, mentally handicapped sport, Special Olympics, inclusion of a pupil with mental disabilities into common physical education Autism - characteristics, possibilities of education, appropriate exercises, specifics of pupil inclusion with autism to PE. Visually impairment - practice of spatial orientation, appropriate exercises and movement games, appropriate sports (Showdown, Goalball, sound shooting), inclusion of the pupil with visual impairment into common PE, compensation tools. Hearing impairment - appropriate exercises and movement games to develop tactile and visual perception and space orientation, appropriate sports, communication in the commmon PE with a pupil with hearing impairment. - Teaching methods
- practice exercises Tasks for self-study: study of recommended literature Monitors tasks: week in the credit Project teaching - create and implement a teaching unit for pupils from a "paragraph" school. Collaborate on the creation with the teacher of the subject Psychomotorics, use knowledge and experience from this subject. Simulation teaching - based on the most specific idea of a pupil with SEN (an imaginary pupil, or students can use a pupil from practice), create an IEP (including anamnesis, initial motor diagnostics, the most accurate diagnosis), enter it into the IS and perform a mutual evaluation.

- Closing of subject - be active on on exercises, presentation of metodical scene. Realization of the unit for invites school, create IEP as specified.
