Course objectives
The aim of the course is to develop students' theoretical abilities in the following areas: Olympism and its dimensions, the future of Olympism; the international Olympic movement; the status of WWTPs in the system of Czech sport from the beginning to the present; Olympic symbols and their development; International and Czech Paralympic Committee; abuse of Olympism in the historical context. Presentation of results in both written and spoken form.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to: * reproduce knowledge from selected chapters of Olympism * Apply knowledge for current practice * summarize general knowledge

Teaching methods
Theoretical preparation, searching and processing of historical and modern sources and self-study. Practical outputs (individual and group). Discussion on the issue is expected.
Assessment methods
Minimum attendance at seminars 80%; 1 active output on the given topic during the semester; seminar work related to output; Exam questions are compiled in sufficient variability, evaluation based on score points (min 20 points from   30).
