Orientation in basic therms of hardware and software, user working with MS Office and logon to IS MU.

Course objectives
  • Understanding the Information System and Study and Examination Regulations
  • Theoretical and practical acquaintance with the possibilities of using information sources, issues of publishing and citation ethics including the methodology of creating and managing bibliographic citations.
  • Effective document creation in Office (Word-templates, publication standards-PDF)
  • Creating high-quality presentations in common software (MS Powerpoint and others)
  • Understanding the basic principles of the Internet and its services (information searching , principles and functioning of emails, social networks, online communication, sharing, clouds, electronic signature).
  • Prevent security threats in the IT area
  • Learning outcomes
    Student will be able to:
  • to understand the Information System and Study and Examination Regulations;
  • search in the search database systems;
  • create a bibliographic record in the required citation standard;
  • manage bibliographic records in citation managers;
  • effectively use the MS Word text editor, especially in automated tasks (using templates);
  • apply knowledge of effective presentation in more sw (Powerpoint, Prezi);
  • analyze and use Internet services in everyday activities (information searching, offline and online communication, planning, sharing);
  • Perform basic IT security tasks;
