- Course objectives
- The course aims to inform students about the main pedagogical, didactic and psychological aspects of professional work with clients and patients. Questions to establish and maintain a relationship with the client, effective communication, take on responsibility for the client, transmission and counterfeiting, worker professionalism and work ethics will be discussed. Students will be given the opportunity to verify practically their ability to establish contact, provide social support, question and develop these skills in peer exercises.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- identify the main pedagogical, didactic and psychological aspects of professional work with clients and patients;
- summarize the main features of nursing education and its didactic aspects;
- analyze problems associated with errors in communication and with the first impression;
- demonstrate basic errors in communication;
- characterize the principles of assertive behaviour;
- to propose a procedure for communication at the first meeting with the client/patient;
- justify the need for motivation to work with the client/patient. - Syllabus

- 02. Effective communication, assertiveness.
- 03. Advice, procedures, diagnostic problems. Classical clinical approach, humanistic approach.
- 04. Relationship with the client, directivity in communication with the client.
- 05. Communication with clients and patients of different ages.
- 06. Worker preparation, work ethics, professionalism.
- 07. Polling Techniques.
- 08. Problem situations and types of clients, crisis intervention, principles.
- 09. Stress and relaxation, healthy lifestyle.
