Studen should be interested in badminton and should have at least his own hands-on experience as a player.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is only offered to the students of the study fields the course is directly associated with.
Course objectives
Get up basic of badminton (ruls, technic, tactic). Take up with badminton games for children and their usage in PE lessons at schools.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- Apply basic badminton rules and competition and qualification rules in practice;
- design suitable badminton equipment for novice players;
- to design and explain suitable badminton games and exercises to develop the correct techniques of basic punches;
- Identify, describe and apply tactical badminton games;
- design and mediate appropriate fitness training in the preparation of players;
- identify and summarize basic knowledge of youth training;
- to design and implement appropriate exercises and games for the general development of motor skills in children
Syllabus
  • Organization, rules: basic rules, competition rules, nomenclature, organization of competitions, qualification of coaches, technical equipment
  • Technique: rocket hold, basic punch technique (submission, receipt, drop, shorts, lob, loop, smash, defense), basics of court movement, major mistakes in impact technology and their causes
  • Tactics: basics of tactics for beginners (singles, doubles, mix), tactical principles
  • Physical training: fitness training and its principles, round training, general youth training
  • Sports preparation of youth: the specifics of children and youth training, games in sports preparation of children

Teoretic (lectures) and practic (drills).
Assessment methods
Graded credit, written test. The final test usually consists of   20 questions. To achieve a successful mastery, you need to achieve at least 16 points.
