- The main goal of the lesson: Salsa for ladies is geared to all female students who like dancing, music and Latin-American rhythms. You can look forward to the basic steps and various choreographies, focused on salsa, but also on other dances such as cha-cha, jive, rumba, samba, bachata, etc. The emphasis will be put on the correct posture, work with hands, the womanliness and the joy of movement accompanied by music.

- After completing the course, the student will be able to: basic Salsa steps and choreography.
- Syllabus
- 1. Introduction to Salsa History and Culture: A brief overview of salsa history, its origins in Latin America, and its development around the world. Music: The rhythm of salsa, the basic structure of the music (4/4), and recognizing the main rhythm (clave). 2. Fundamentals Basic Step: Body posture, footwork, weight transfer, and timing. Posture and Hold: How to hold the body correctly and maintain stability. Leading and Following: Basic concepts for both partners, mutual communication during the dance. 3. First Basic Movements Cross Body Lead: Moving smoothly across the dance floor from one place to another. Open and Closed Positions: When and how the couple's position changes during the dance. Turns and Basic Variations: Simple turns for both partners. 4. Movement Technique Hip and Arm Work: How to engage the hips and arms for a natural dance flow. Rhythm and Style: Various salsa styles (e.g., Cuban, Puerto Rican, New York) and their unique elements. 5. Advanced Steps and Combinations Leading Advanced Combinations: Such as turns, underarm passes, and various forms of leading and following. Footwork: Enhancing style and self-expression in salsa. Rhythm Changes: Playing with the rhythm of the music, changing tempo, and movement dynamics. 6. Musical Interpretation and Improvisation Listening to the Music: Analyzing the music and using various rhythmic elements. Personal Style: Developing a unique style, adding additional moves, and improvisation in dance. 7. Social Dancing and Etiquette Dance Floor Etiquette: Respecting your partner, cues for leading, and inviting others to dance. Social Dancing: Practical exercises in different situations, adapting style to different partners. 8. Practice and Improvement Regular Training: How to practice technique, rhythm, and steps outside of lessons. Feedback: Joint evaluation of progress and identifying areas for further improvement. Dance Parties and Salsa Nights: Recommendations for practicing at a dance club or salsa events.
