- English for Psychology is a skills-based course for Master’s students of psychology and related disciplines. Students will practice listening (listening to lectures and note-taking, identifying the speaker’s point of view), speaking (delivering presentations, developing an argument, small talk), reading (how to understand academic articles, strategies helpful for efficient reading), writing (writing a presentation abstract and position paper, paraphrasing and summarizing). Moreover, great emphasis is paid to building students’ vocabulary, both from the academic word list in general and specific psychological vocabulary and terms.

- 3. Psychology in practice: phobias, mental disorders.
- 4. Psychology and computers- using computers for doing research, virtual reality.
- 5. Dreams and personality. Freud and Jung. Consciousness and personality.
- 6. Memory, its models.
- 7. Mental disorders: popular myths, stereotypes of mental illnesses.
- 8. Personality.
- 9. Modern addictions: Internet, eating disorders, cyberbullying.
