- Assessment methods
- Publication of a scientific article in a journal in the Scopus or WoS database. For students admitted in early 2021 - for social sciences, that is, scientific disciplines according to OECD, Frascati manual Nr. 5: an article in Journal in WoS databases, Q1-Q3, for humanities, i.e. according to Frascati manual disciplines nr. 6: an article in the journal at Scopus database Q1-Q2, or WoS Q1-Q3). Credits are awarded for the published article or against an official acknowledgment of acceptance for publication. For all: The student must be the first author in case of co-authorship. In case the student co-authors the article as the second author, the article is evaluated as 50% fulfillment of the requirement (two papers/chapters must be provided in case of being a second author; or three papers/chapters in case of being the third author). The author's share must be at least 50%. For Frascati manual, see: http://europa.eu.int/estatref/info/sdds/en/gba/gba_frascati_manual_2002.pdf The requirement of first authorship does not apply to students of fields where the names of authors are published alphabetically. However, the student must be the author of at least 50% of the text. The article must be reported on behalf of the Department of Environmental Studies (i.e., the article must include only the departmental affiliation and then be reported in "RIVU" for KES).
