- Cíle předmětu
- The aim of this practical workshop is to provide the students to make use of the theories and approaches that they taught in obligatory and optional courses about political and security issues (especially GLCb1005). The students will be confronted with the series of case studies and the classes are organized as simulations of the crisis. Everyone who participates represents, alone or in a small group, a country or organization. Every representative assumes the role of the delegation of the country or organization he/she is representing , making the conference as realistic as possible. The delegate represents the opinions of the country that he/she is representing and not his/her own. The students are obliged to draft a position paper before the seminar. All needed materials will be given to students in advance by a teacher who will lead the session. The course is organized into four blocs.
- Výstupy z učení
- After completing the course, a student will be able to:
- identify the political and security global challenges and their roots
- formulate the solutions to global challenges
- work in groups to create group projects
- identify the role of polical actors and actions - Osnova
- The course is divided into four blocks in which the actual conflicts will be discussed and simulated (e.g. Rwanda Genocide, Israel/Palestine etc.). The obligatory reading and the concrete content depends on the current geopolitical situation in the period of teaching. The case studies and obligatory readings will be selected according to this criteria. See the syllabus of the particular year/semester.
