- Course objectives
- The subject deals with the relationship between politics and sport. It aims to present different types of connections between sport and politics and to show that these two concepts are not independent of each other. The course will focus on various aspects of the link between politics and sport (non-democratic regimes, hooliganism, gender, corruption, racism and others).
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, students will be able to: - identify the basic connection between sports and politics - know historical cases of the use of sport for political purposes - name the modern challenges of links between sport and politics
