Course objectives (in Czech)
Hlavním cílem kurzu je seznámit studenty s africkým politickým systémem v historickém vývoji po současnost. Kurz se stručně zaměří na základní tendence historického vývoje v předkoloniálním a koloniálním období a pozornost bude věnována národněosvobozeneckému boji za nezávislost. Studenti se seznámí se základními strukturami africké společnosti, zaměří se na etnické, tribální a subnacionální konflikty afrických zemí. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována úloze armády v africké společnosti a analýze četných vojenských převratů na africkém kontinentě.
