- Course objectives
- The course is based on the discussion about the up-to-date issues of the European Union. At the end of the course, students should be able to understand the modern development of European integration process as well as the contemporary processes of the EU. Students are expected to actively participate in the discussion and to follow the EU related news.

- Interpret events currently going on in the European Union.

- Teaching methods
- Discussion, readings of the study materials, homeworks.
- Assessment methods
- The course is finished with a credit. To acquire a credit an obligatory attendance and an active participation in the course are necessary. Students are also asked to write five homeworks on a theme related to the chosen issue of contemporary processes in the EU.
Points assessment:
Activity 5 points, each homework 5 points. Max. 30 points. The treshold for passing the course are 20 points. - Language of instruction
