- Course objectives
- Presentation of parts of analysis, findings or theories as well as critical discussion of (a segment) of dissertation theses with colleagues. Students get feedback both from the lecturer and from his/her colleagues.
- Syllabus
- Students enroll in this course twice (under codes SOC920a and SOC920b), typically in the 2nd and 3td year. Students present parts of their dissertations individually and these presentations are then followed by the group discussion (active participation is one of the course requirements). Dates of the sessions are scheduled by the lecturer at the beginning of semester. The number of sessions depends on the number of enrolled students (it is usually 3 session per semester).

- Students work with their own dissertation chapters/ papers
- Teaching methods
- Sessions are based on presentations followed by discussions over presented chapters of the dissertation thesis. Seminars are held in Czech and also in English depending on who is enrolled.

- The evaluation is based upon the attendance and active participation of students in discussions.
