- Course objectives
- The course identifies and examines the most topical issues and trend in the energy sector. Outcomes and findings of recent research projects carried on both the Department and external institution will be presented in this session. On successful completion of the course, students will be able to understand to real-time information about the development of the most important research issues and trends in the contemporary energy industry. The current topics are reflected in the changing guest lecturers in individual course semesters. Emphasis in this course is placed on the students' active participation in discussions with guest lecturers. The course can be combined with Contemporary Trends II. The courses are thematically complementary.
- Syllabus
- 1) Participation of students in a meeting with the guest lecturer The primary emphasis in this course is placed on the students' active participation in a meeting with the guest lecturer. The 2018 spring semester meeting will take place on Thursday, 22 March 2018 from 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. U32. 2) Writing an opinion essay related to the topic of the course To obtain the course credits, students must write an opinion essay of at least four pages (A4), including footnotes and bibliography. The essay topic will be related to the topic of the lecture given by the guest lecturer and will be sent to the students at the beginning of the semester.
