Course objectives
Course Objectives:
- students will learn how to prepare a presentation
- students will try out their own presentation (individually and in a group)
- students will practice analysing and evaluating presentations as a source of feedback


The course includes the opportunity to make a video recording of the presentation to serve as a source of feedback for the presenter(s).
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- process a selected topic in the form of a presentation
- take into account the presentation objective, time scale, target audience, purpose of the presentation and other factors
- identify functional and non-functional ways of presenting
- identify your strengths and weaknesses when presenting
- give and receive feedback on a presentation

  • Introductory lesson - course content + opening and closing of presentation
  • Effective presentations, how to approach the preparation (objective, audience, content, structure, rehearsal...)
  • How to give feedback (not only for presentations)
  • TASK 1: Mini-presentations
  • TASK 1: Mini-presentations
  • Visual aspects of the presentation
  • How to manage the flow of the presentation: common mistakes and what to do about them, interaction with the audience
  • TASK 2: Solo presentation on your own topic
  • TASK 2: Solo presentation on your own topic
