- Course objectives
- Introductory project seminar concentrating on the preparation of the thesis project. Part of the seminar is a joint introductory workshop, which introduces the rules for the writing of diploma theses and on which the supervisors present the themes they lead. Students then choose their supervisors under whose leadership they formulate the preliminary topic of their diploma thesis.
The output of the seminar is annotation of the topic of the diploma thesis, which contains (1) an outline of the theoretical and methodological knowledge and skills necessary for the elaboration of a diploma thesis and (2) an interim plan of study of compulsory elective subjects corresponding to the topic of the diploma thesis. - Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to:
- to formulate the basis of the theme of the thesis
- to work with library sources and academic publications
- to create a study plan corresponding to the topic of the thesis - Syllabus
- Introduction - the rules of the diploma courses and the schedule of the diploma thesis
- 2. Presentations of the supervisors'
- 3. Seminars on using academic and librarian sources
- 4. Choosing a supervisor, enrollment to seminary group; submission of a brief annotation of the diploma thesis and study plan
- 5. Signing to the topic of diploma thesis in the IS.
