- This course intends to offer students broad insights into contemporary theories of IR and the state of research in this field. Moreover, the course also looks at scientific issues that are of eminent importance in the discipline of IR and can influence characters of various IR theories.

- 1) Metatheoretical and epistemological problems in IR - four debates and presence 2) Reflectivist theories I. - normative theory, postmodernism, historical sociology 3) Reflectivist theories II. - critical theory, feminism 4) Conflict and co-operation I. - integration theory, regimes, transnationalism 5) Conflict and co-operation II. - theories of conflict, post-cold war security 6) Decision-making theories 7) Game theory 8) Economics in IR - IPE
