Course objectives
The seminar focuses on analysing selected Czech culture magazines and journals of the 20th century. When presented by students, each title is always characterised generally, followed by an analysis of specific texts. The aim is to inform students about the magazines of the past, so that they can find inspiration to be used in practice.
Syllabus
  • 1. Characteristics of a selected magazine: period of publishing, periodicity, profile, columns and sections, and key authors. 2. Analysis of selected texts: genre, thematic and language points of view. 3. Discussion and inspiration for practice.
