- Course objectives
- At the end of course "Criminal policy" (BSS166), students should be able to: understand and be able to explain choice descriptions of criminal behavior. Main objectives can be summarized as follows: - to understand the basic teachings of criminal policy, - to learn the history of criminology, criminological theories and schools, to analyze the develepments in criminal behaviour etc. - to understand and analyze the changing faces of criminal behavior (IT crimes, crimes against humanity, organized crime, white collar crime), - take up with legislation (criminal law, material law, economic legislation etc.), - to understand the basic of methodological approaches etc., - get a knowledge about international cooperation (Europol, Interpol).

- 1. Intoduction. 2. Terms of law, fundamental terms. 3. Basis of criminal law. Basis of material law. 4. Law of criminal procession. 5. Criminological methods. 6. Criminological research, procedures, and kinds of research. 7. The state, structure, progress and trends of criminality, 8. Anti-criminal policy. 9. International police cooperation against criminality (Europol, Interpol). 10. Youth criminality. 11. Criminality of immigrants. 12. Choice descriptions of criminality. 13. The new trends in criminality. 14. Exam.

- Assessment methods
- Students are expected to attend every seminar meeting and participate actively in class. Students receive a final letter grade (A-F) form the semester based on the following components: Students have to work out seminary papers (!). 100 % - Final exam. 60 % - minimum (F).
