Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are the following:
acquainting students with the beginnings of computer graphics and its development
acquainting students with the beginnings of television broadcasting and introduction of new graphics technologies
presentation of new graphic applications and their use in concrete cases
Syllabus
  • 1. History of computer graphics in The Czech Republic, analog vs. digital
  • 2. Current computer technology and its application in the field of visualization
  • 3. Special application of computer technology - design (3D CAD / CAM)
  • 4. Art forms and informatics
  • 5. Perception of image
  • 6. Preproduction, production, postproduction and distribution in CGI
  • 7. Draft of AV compositions based on 3D (trailer, intro, logo, etc.)
  • 8. Preproduction - design, storyboard
  • 9. Production - work with the resources and data stores, acquisition of AV materials
  • 10. Post-production - editing, layers, keying
  • 11. Rendering VFX and SFX in CGI (video, film)
  • 12. New media and new technologies (HDR, stereoscopy, holography, etc.)
  • 13. Presentation of student's projects
