- Course objectives
- This course builds on the course ENS 101 Review of Environmental Risks. The course aims to familiarize students with some specific examples of cases related to local environmental risks in the Czech Republic. Emphasis will be placed on the understanding of complexity of each case.
After the completion of the course students should be able to orientate themselves within the major environmental cases in the Czech Republic and evaluate them with necessary understanding of their context. Students will be able to critically assess the position of individual actors and solutions they are proposing. - Syllabus

- Teaching methods
- The course is based on seminars and individual work with study materials. Seminars require ongoing individual preparation of students and active participation during lessons.
Group presentation, Seminar paper, Expert lecture - Assessment methods
- Attendance on at least 5 seminars is required.
The evaluation of the course will be based on continuous work over the semester. Students are expected to actively participate in the discussions during the seminars. Short individual preparation will be submitted before each seminar. Final seminar paper is another part of the evaluation.
Overall classification: Group presentation (30 points), Individual preparation for the seminars (6 X 5 points), Final seminar paper (30 points), Active participation during seminars (10 points).
