- Course objectives
- This course is intended as a social scientific overview of the strategic and security perspectives of the Czech Republic in European and global context. It serves to training of predictive structural analytical techniques and methods, especially from the filed of "intelligence studies".
- Learning outcomes
- Students should be able to use various predictive research methods and techniques in relation to the research of national and international security. They should be able to evaluate contemporary trends in various security sectors and to predict their future development.

- Teaching methods
- The course takes the form of both lectures and seminars. Collective cooperation in groups is required for the preparedness to seminars.
- Assessment methods
- Students will receive a final letter grade (A-F) for the semester based on the following components: In-Term Test: max. 6 points Seminary thesis: max. 36 points. Final written test: 18 points. Grading: 56-60 : A 51-55 : B 46-50 : C 41-45 : D 36-40 : E 35 and less: F
