- Cíle předmětu
- The course consists of a series of student-led seminars. Seminar topics cover the broad range of local environmental hazards – chemical hazards and human health, air pollution, water pollution, solid and hazardous waste, urban life. Attention is payed to principles of environmental policy.
The aim of the course is:
- improve the ability to quickly understand a new topic and capture its essence;
- illustrate the complexity of environmental problems;
- critically evaluate measures leading to the reduction of environmental risks; - Výstupy z učení
- At the end of the course students will be able to:
- identify the main local environmental issues;
- appreciate the need to explore environmental issues and solutions in a multidisplinary context

- The course consists of a series of student-led seminars. Students are required to write two essays based on their presentations.
- Metody hodnocení
- The course is finished by an examination. Students receive credits for two essays and the seminar presentation. The literature for the subject will be placed in the section “Study materials” in the IS. The exact conditions of the point evaluation for the test and essays will be published in the section “Study materials”. The topics for the presentations and the instructions will be published there as well.
