Course objectives
The course develops knowledge of the European Union gained at the bachelor level (e. g. history of European Integration, Institution of the European Union etc.). These information are analyzed through methods and approaches relevant in current political science. At the end of this course, students should be able to understand, explain and characterize how the political system of the European Union works. Students should be able to identify main political actors as well as relevant political proceseses in the European Union in analytical terms.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able:
to understand theories and models of European integration;
to apply them when analysing current development of the EU
to identify through them key problems of EU political system

Teaching methods
The course is carried out by seminars where students present and discuss their ideas.
Assessment methods
Final exam constists of several components. First of them is written exam (40% of total points), second one is several group projects (30% of total points), third part of evaluation are individual position papers(20% of total points) and the last is teacher s evaluation of student s activity during lectures (class discussion, 10% of total points).
