- The course is intended for students of political science and other social science disciplines interested in the use of modern information technologies and research tools.

- Cíle předmětu
- As the social sciences become increasingly interdisciplinary, the use of modern information technologies and tools has become increasingly important. The aim of the course is both to introduce research approaches based on the use of these technologies, but also to provide students with practical training that will enable them to acquire the skills needed to use them.
- Výstupy z učení
- Upon completion of the course, students will be able to: orient themselves in the areas of social sciences in which information technologies are commonly used; assess the specific use of selected software and hardware tools in social science research; conduct their own research based on the use of selected software and hardware tools

- 1. Software tools for survey management (Qualtrics) I., 2. Software tools for survey management (Qualtrics) II., 3. Hardware tools for eye-tracking, 4. Software and hardware tools for physiological response measurement - automated facial expression analysis (Noldus Facereader) and physiological measurement, 5. Citation managers, 6. Seminar project presentations

- A prerequisite for credit is participation in at least 4 of the 5 lecture/teaching blocks and also the final seminar with project presentations. The second requirement is to design, develop and present your own practical research project based on the selected tool presented during the course (see syllabus for details).
