Course objectives
At the end of the course student will be able to recognize labour law relations and to distinguish them from other legal relationships. Furthermore, he will be able to understand the basic principles of labor law, protection of employees and their employment realationship. Students will be able to draw up a contract of employment or other agreements, apply the provisions of compensation, and recognize an accident at work. To be oriented in the collective labor law.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will be able to recognize employment relationships and be able to distinguish them from other legal relationships. Furthermore, the student will be able to describe and explain the essential and optional elements of an employment contract, will gain knowledge of the legal regulation of termination of employment or explain the basic aspects of the legal regulation of working time, remuneration and the obligation to compensate for damage in employment relationships. The student will have knowledge of collective labour law.

  • Object and system of labour law. Relation to other legal branches. Contract of employment - basic principles. Principle of equal treatment and other principles. Establishment, Changes and Termination of an employment relationship. Working hours, rest periods, holidays. Working conditions. System of liability in labor law. Social dialogue and collective labour law.

The subject is completed by oral exam composed of two questions. The student must answer both of them.
