Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites. Knowledge of the purpose of spatial planning, rules for the disposal of state and local government property and the meaning of expert opinion in administrative and judicial proceedings is an advantage.

Course objectives
The objective of this subject is to provide participants with basic knowledge of fundamental institutes land appraisal. Students should be able to apply relevant regulation to practical cases. Classes will focus on the valuation by price regulations and its use in cases required by law (expropriation, tax purposes, landscaping). At the end of the course students shall be able to work with sources of law and materials necessary for evaluation and perform valuation of typical types of land.
Learning outcomes
Graduates of the course will be able to distinguish the content and meaning of different types of values; understand the methods of determining individual types of values of immovable property and rights to them; present rational proposals for solutions to model examples; assess the correctness of valuation in terms of form and substance.

  • 1. Legal regulation of land appraisal. 2. Legal aspects of assessment of market value. 3. Easements evaluation. 4. Land appraisal in specific situations (expropriation, land arrangement). 5. Expert opinion. 6. Valuation of compensation for limitation of property rights and current issues.

Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars, which are held every week (lecture and seminar). Lectures are interactive. The purpose of seminars is to discuss issues that have been presented at lectures, dealing with practical model situations. Self-study.
Assessment methods
Colloquium. Combination of written (solving examples) and oral performance (discussion) based on tasks (examples) assigned during the semester. A control written test consisting of open and test questions, which can also be conducted remotely via Revision, Opinion Poll and Testing in the Information System.
