Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:;
explain the development of legal institutions and legal institutes in connection with and depending on decesive social changes;
point out the connection between processes, which occur in society and changes, which we can follow in modern law;
Learn the basic characteristics of modern law;
Understand the system of modern law;
Understand the essence of the Continental law and the Anglo-Saxon law.

  • Vested human rights.;
  • Phenomenon of nationalism in modern history.;
  • World division into blocks and WW1.;
  • Versailles system.;
  • United Nations. Fascism and totalitarian systems, WWII.;
  • Foundation of the United Nations organisation.;
  • Development after 1945 - "Cold War".;
  • Development of law in the USA.;
  • Development of law in Russia and the USSR.;
  • Development of law in France.;
  • Development of law in Germany.;
  • Development of law in Italy.

Colloguium - for the successful passing of the colloguium it is necessary to attend lectures to a certain extent and to pass 2 written exams during the semester (50% correct responses).
