- Course objectives
- In addition to the theoretical basis in selected areas of administration in the field of culture, the course also provides students with orientation in basic economic instruments and legal practice. Students will be comprehensively acquainted with the legal and economic aspects of monument care, administration in the field of libraries and administration in the field of theaters. Emphasis will be placed on the role of municipalities and regions in the relevant sections.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course student: -understands the principles and system of monument care, including protection tools -knows the legislation in the field of libraries and theaters, understands the economic context -knows the competence of municipalities and regions in these sections - can apply the acquired knowledge to specific cases and think independently about a suitable support tool
- Syllabus
- Introduction, the concept of culture, its division, legislation including the European dimension. The concept of monument care, principles, types, tools of protection. The role of municipalities and regions in the protection of cultural monuments. Forms of financial subsidies to the owner of a cultural monument. Theaters - legal and economic aspects, model cases. Libraries - legal and economic aspects, model cases. The role of municipalities and regions in the field of theaters and libraries. The Press law in Czech republic.
