- Course objectives
- The purpose of this course is to provide students with details on the legal regulation of the internal market and different common policies (competition, tax law, consumer protection, external trade relations etc.), including second and third EU pillars. Particular attention is paid to the constitutional development (EU Constitutional Treaty, Lisbon Treaty). The basic goal of the course is good orientation of students in the legal regulation of EU activities in different areas.

- Internal Market - foundations, economic and monetary union, competition law, state subsidies, tax law, external trade relations of the EC (common commercial policy), consumer protection, second pillar of EU, Area of Freedom, Security and Justice, Schengen acquis and cooperation in police and criminal matters (third pillar) particularities of the Czech membership EU Constitutional Treaty, Lisbon Treaty - recent developments

- Assessment methods
- Participation on seminars is compulsory. The method is the analysis of the ECJ case law. The examination consists of two parts: written and oral. If the result of the written part is A or F, the oral part does not take place.
