- Course objectives
- The course is taught in German. It deals with selected problems of the Lithuanian constitutional law. Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to understand the constitutional development in the Lithuania; to be able to work with Lithuanian Constitution; to learn the system of authorities in the Lithuania and its functioning; to understand the role of the Lithuanian Constitutional Court; to be able to compare Lithuanian and Czech legal regulation; to improve legal German.
- Syllabus
- Syllabus: 1. Creation of the Lithuanian Constitution 1992: historical background (Constitutions from 1918, 1919, 1922, 1928 and 1938) and constitutional development.
- 2. The Lithuanian Constitution from 1992: the structure, principles.
- 3. The system of the supreme authorities: parliament, president of the state, goverment. The stability and changes of the Constitution.
- 4. The fundamentals of the constitutional judiciary: the Constitutional Court and its judges.
- 5. The fundamentals of the constitutional judiciary: the proceedings of the rules` control.
- 5. The fundamentals of the constitutional judiciary: constitutional decisions.
