- Course objectives
- The subject concetrates on interpersonal communication, styles of communication. The subject cultives voice pronunciation and speech disordes, speakers tact. It contains purposefully chosen general information of Rhetoric which targeted and systematized to be casily applied by to future lawyers.At the End of the course students should be able to understand and explain interpersonal comunication and work with infomation on styles of communication and speech disordes and speakers tact.Graduates of the course are able to reduce the communication difficulties.
- Syllabus
- Rhetoric throughout the history of linguistic communication, renaissance of rhetoric on the eve of 21 st century, new rhetoric as an argumentation science, legal rhetoric - Interpersonal communication, verbal and non-verbal communication, styles of communication, feedback, interaction between media and the audience - Spoken discourse and the basic of rhetoric from psychosocial point of view - The importance of voice and hearing in rhetoric, voice pronunciation and speech disordes, breathing, voice and articulation techniques, developing speaking skills - Speaker's personality and preparing a speech - Speaker's tact - Principle of proper discussions, social conversation, trendy expressions and political correctness - Cultur of written discourse.

- The course is composed of lectures and seminars. Seminars are aimed at practice exercises (audiovisual presentations, case studies). A final: a oral examination - a colloquium. Oral examination, ballot 1 question and overview about 5 next questions, minimum 50% correct answers. Note: for individual students - The attendance at seminars is suposed to be higher than 50 %."
