- Cíle předmětu
- The main purpose of the course is to equip students with knowledge, skills and social competences in the field of basic institutions of Polish constitutional law analysed in a comparative approach. The additional goal of education is to raise the legal culture of students and increase their involvement in social and political matters.
- Výstupy z učení
- At the end of the course, students should be able to:
- understand and explain basic concepts of constitutional law as well as role and significance of a constitution in a democratic state;
- understand and explain the constitutional system of the Republic of Poland;
- compare the primary systems of government;
- work with information on fundamental rights and freedoms of persons and citizens stated in various constitutions;
- interpret constitutional provisions of different states; - make reasoned political decisions. - Osnova
- Session 1: Historical background; constitution concept; features of a constitution; types of constitutions; role and significance of a constitution in a democratic state; the procedure for adopting and amending the constitution.
- Session 2: The most important political principles.
- Session 3: Fundamental rights and freedoms of persons and citizens, together with means of their protection.
- Session 4: Sources of law.
- Session 5: The system of government of the Republic of Poland (the legislative, executive and judicial powers).
