- Course objectives
- The main objectives of the course are the following:
understanding the differences between the Continental and the Anglo-Saxon law;
ability to assess the importance of the 18th and 19th century codifications;
ability to compare the constitutional development of the most important European states and the US;
recognizing the main characteristics of the law and state development in the first half of the 19th century;
describing the specific features of the particular totalitarian regimes of the 20th century and its legal systems;
explaining the incentives of the interwar integration tendencies. - Syllabus

- Differences in development of continental and English law.
