- Course objectives
- The student should know the basic physical examination and functional tests in cardiology. He/she must be able to describe basic examination in cardiology. He/she must be able to describe signs and symptoms of the most frequent cardiovascular disease, namely acute myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, pulmonary embolism. He/she must know essential cardiovascular pharmacology as well as non-pharmacological treatment including pacing, resynchronisation and defibrillation. He/she must know the cardiovascular risk factors and to describe the pathophysiology of atherosclerosis.

- Teaching methods
- The course is organized as an internship at cardiological clinics. The course is composed of collective seminars on the given topics and practical bed-side demonstrations in small groups.
