Course objectives
During this exercise, the student discusses and consults on issues related to the preparation of their thesis. The aim of the thesis is to demonstrate the students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge acquired during their studies to solve specific problems in healthcare practice, use knowledge from various study subjects, evaluate interrelationships, navigate professional literature, and work creatively with it within the framework of the assigned topic. After consulting with their supervisor, the student will determine the structure, timeline, measurement methods, and processing of results for the chosen thesis topic. The thesis is evaluated by the supervisor and an opponent. The opponent, appointed by mutual agreement with the coordinator of the relevant field, assesses the thesis in terms of content, methodology, and formality. The student submits the thesis in two copies by a predetermined deadline, with a length of 80-100 pages. The defense of the thesis is part of the final state examination.

  • Structure of the thesis: introduction, theoretical part – individual chapters and subchapters, research part: introduction to the research part, research objective, working hypothesis, research methodology, subjects, used instruments and tools, results, summary, discussion of results, analysis, comparison with other studies, possibly case studies, conclusion, appendices, list of references.
