- Course objectives
- The course in Health Care and Policy introduces the students to the content, mission, basic theories and methods of social medicine, demography and epidemiology. By the end of this course student should be able: to use epidemiologic methods for assessing the health status of defined population; apply theoretical and methodological knowledge in health situation analysis; assess health risks and propose suitable measures to improve the health of the population; understand the basis of statistical and systemic thinking in medicine, the basis of methods of critical appraisal of population studies results and consequent organizational measures.
- Learning outcomes
- By the end of this course student should be able to:
- describe the content, mission, basic theories and methods of social medicine;
- use epidemiologic methods for assessing the health status of defined population;
- apply theoretical and methodological knowledge in health situation analysis; assess health risks and propose suitable measures to improve the health of the population;
