Course objectives
basic review of ENT diseases, the most frequent diagnosis in ENT basic principles of diagnostic and therapeutical approach specific aspects how to treat ENT patients specific nursing aspects in otolaryngology
Syllabus
  • 1.nursing principles in otology - diseases of the ear, patients with hearing loss and their specific needs, hearing aids and implants, vestibular disorders 2. nursing principles in rhinology 3. nursing principles in pharyngeal and laryngeal diseases, deep neck infections 4. intensive care and perioperative in ENT patients 5. patient with tracheostomy - reasons for tracheostomy, types of tubes, nursing approach, airway management in ENT diseases 6. nursing principles - emergency procedures in ENT 7.nursing principles - head and neck cancer
