- Course objectives
- Prepare a nurse for specific nursing care provided to patients at risk of vital signs requiring urgent care at the pre-hospital stage and in the emergency department. The course will enable students to acquire basic knowledge and practical skills in the field of diagnostics and initial therapeutic measures in urgent situations. The general nurse will become acquainted with the principles and legal norms applied in the management and organization of the EMS in the case of emergencies with disaster and the principles of mass reception of the disabled in health care facilities.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to: - provide specific nursing care for patients in emergency medicine in pre-hospital care and within the emergency department. - to introduce the objectives of diagnostics and initial treatment measures for emergencies. - to have basic knowledge of the principles in the management and organization of the Emergency Medical Service and in the case of mass casualty
- Syllabus
- Presentation of the field of emergency medicine CPR (BLS, ALS). Heart rhythm disorders, electroimpulsotherapy ACS, diff. dg. of chest pain. Pulmonary embolism, hypertensive crisis, heart failure. Shock conditions. Dyspnoea, diff. dg. of dyspnoe Asthma, COPD. Disturbance of consciousness, diff. dg. of unconsciousness Convulsions. CNS infection Cerebral stroke, Sepsis Trauma, polytrauma Burn trauma, electric shock. Hypothermia, hyperthermia, sunburn, tingling Acute conditions in gynecology, rapid labor. Acute conditions in endocrinology. Disturbance of the internal environment. Sudden abdominal accident. Acute conditions in pediatrics. Intoxication: general aspects, procedures. Intoxication: specific poisoning. Caring for the donor. Disaster medicine, degree of activation of the traumatological plan, material and technical equipment for disaster. Disaster response of emergency prehospital service, triage. CBRN, pandemic.
