Course objectives
Knowledge of care for woman and child during risk and complicated pregnancy, care for woman and child during surgical childbirth, assesment of risk and pathological newborn is introduced in this subject. Special diagnostic and therapeutic processes when any abnormality appears during all periods, is covered. Problem of care for woman and newborn with any abnormality during childbed. Problems of caring for woman with oncological disease are solved in this subject. Learning outcomes - students will be able to: - diagnose risks and abnormalities during pregnancy, labour and childbed; - suggest next actions in cooperation with multidisciplinary team; - provide adequate care to woman through nursing process when any abnormalities during pregnancy, labour and childbed appear; - assist a doctor during surgical labour; - provide care via nursing process for woman with oncological breast disease;

Syllabus
  • Module subject: - care for woman in childbirth and early childbed with anomalous and pathological birth – breech presentation; - care for woman with anomalous foetus presentation; - care for woman with impending and actual premature childbirth, with prolonged pregnancy; - care for woman with anaemic syndrome; - care for woman with metabolic disease – DM, hypertension, erythrocyte incompatibility; - care for woman with heart disease; - care for woman with urological disease, with urinal incontinence; - care for woman with gastrointestinal disease; - care for woman with precipitate and prolonged childbirth, with foetal hypoxia; - care for woman with surgical childbirth (VEX, forceps delivery, C-section); - care for woman with abnormalities during 3rd and 4th stage; - care for woman with abnormalities during childbed; - diagnostic and care for immature newborn, newborn with congenital abnormality, newborn harmed during birth, hypothrofical newborn; - nursing process for woman with gynaecological tumour disease;
