- Course objectives
- Professional practice in midwifery is an important part of the study program. It enables the application of theoretical knowledge in the conditions of clinical workplaces. The course includes skills in the field of secondary care for women and newborns (gynecology, delivery room, high-risk pregnancy, puerperium, neonatal and gynecological oncology). It addresses the issue of care for a woman in midwifery during both physiological and complicated reproductive processes. Students work under the guidance of clinical practice mentors. Learning outcomes - student will be able to: - identify individual bio-psycho-socio-spiritual needs of clients using diagnostic algorithm; - propose, execute and evaluate efficiency of care plan in cooperation with multidisciplinary team; - work with medical documentation; - treat clients professionally and emphatically; - retain the latest knowledge and to apply them in day to day work;
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be able to apply the process of midwifery care to a pregnant woman with regular and irregular pregnancy and childbirth and puerperium; satisfy the needs of women with sterility and infertility, gynecologically and oncogynologically ill women; document the fulfillment of all prescribed activities according to the logbook.
