Course objectives
The course aims to promote critical thinking, working with information, disinformation, fake news, refuting nonsense, and the ability and willingness to seek rational and scientifically based information in the health field. The individual seminars will be divided into two basic blocks: 1) Evidence-based medicine (historical overview, principles, weaknesses); 2) Quackery (examples of quack methods, psychological aspect, application of critical thinking)

Kurz je zaměřen na: kritické myšlení; základní biochemickou a lékovou gramotnost; povědomí o medicínských informačních databázích

Teaching methods
Interactive lectures. The interactive content of the teaching to increase attention, and draw you into the topic, or for the final summary will be in the form of quizzes and tests (IS, Kahoot, Slido, Microsoft Forms).
Assessment methods
To obtain credits, it is necessary to 1) pass a test (5 questions) following each lecture; 2) submit an essay on the chosen topic of 1-2 pages. The evaluation of the final essay focuses on comprehension of the text, critical evaluation of the text, and ability to interpret the information.
