Course objectives
A student will be able to perform spectrophotometric, chromatographic and immunoanalytic methods. He/she knows the division and toxicological classification of chemical substances, methods for isolation of drugs, toxic narcotic and psychotropic substances. He/she knows the strategy of systematic toxicological analysis, examination of the unknown nox, their detection and identification, determination of the levels of pharmaceuticals and OPL, knows the methods for the determination of ethanol,  controls the analysis of volatile compounds and alcohols. virtually controls methods GC, LC, HPLC with the appropriate detection.
Learning outcomes

Syllabus
  • general toxikology; classification of poisons;treatment of poisoning;biological materiál;analysis of the extractive substances;isolation of noxa;toxicological testing methods;immunochemical methods; biotrasformation; manifestations of poisoning; good laboratory praxis; diagnosis of poisoning mushrooms; liquid chromatography; analysis of addictive substances; biological exp. tests
Teaching methods
a lecture with the use of audiovisual teaching aids (pp-presentations, commented videos) including interactive input;
Assessment methods
The teacher for theoretical education prepares a study plan and a plan of practical exercises to be completed by the participant in the course of preparation and continuously examine knowledge and skills. The supervisor for the practical part evaluates the mastery of the outputs set by the educational program. Practices at routine laboratory workplaces is carried out under the supervision of an assigned laboratory specialist who is an employee of the workplace, has a specialized qualification in the field and a certificate for the exercise of the health profession without professional supervision. The Practitioner confirms the performed tasks. Continual teacher evaluation: The supervisor regularly and continuously examines the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of a participant in the specialized training. In the study card, he / she writes the termination of each module and the number of credits earned. The continuous evaluation of the acquired theoretical knowledge is carried out in the form of a test at the beginning of the following module of the specialized training program.
