Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: knowledge of the principles of human nutrition, introduction to the nutrients(macronutrients and micronutrients) and food - based guidelines - dietary recommendations.

  • Evolution of human nutrition.
  • Food choice : internal and external factors and the food environment.
  • Food - based guidelines - dietary recommendations.
  • Breast - feeding.
  • Energy intake and requirements.
  • Fluis in the diet.
  • Proteins: needs and sources.
  • Carbohydrates:needs and sources.
  • Fats: needs and sources.
  • Micronutrients ( minerals and vitamins :needs and sources.
