- Nutritive therapist (programme LF, B-SZ)
- Course objectives
- The aim of the subject is to acquire basic knowledge about the identification and evaluation of influences of the living and working environment on population health and on methods of optimization of physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial factors. The course is also focused on epidemiology, etiology and prevention of non-communicable diseases of mass occurrence (cardiovascular disease, malignant tumors, allergies, obesity, osteoporosis, etc.). In addition, the main risk and protective factors of lifestyle and living conditions are important for the health status of the population. Methods of intervention to influence risk and protective factors.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of course student will be able to explain the relationship between human and environment and occupational conditions, characterized by physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial factors and their interactions. Student will be able to explain the role of adaptation and its active supportfor the positive development and promotion of both individual and public health;
Student will be able to define the basic mechanisms of action of the main factors from environmental and occulational surrounding and their influences on human health: noise, radiation, microclimate, light, biological rythmicity. Student will be able to make deduction about possibilities for preventive provisions in the fields of clean and safe air, water, waste destruction, occupational and home environment. Student will be able to undderstand and explain the different types of prevention, their tasks and aims and methods of realization. - Syllabus
