- Cíle předmětu
- Students will understand the principles of the most important devices devices used in medicine; recognize possible risks connected with the use of some medical devices (of mechanical, electromagnetic or optical character, ionizing radiation); accept rules and methods of safe use of this devices - both in patients and in the healthcare professionals; understand physical principles of some physiological processes and their affection by external physical/environmental conditions(cardiovascular system, respiration, origin of membrane potentials; understand the main concepts of the biophysics of sensory organs; understand the main concepts in information theory and namely the healthcare informatics

- Student is able to explain the principles of the most important devices devices used in medicine including possible risks connected with their use (mechanical, electromagnetic, optical and coused by ionizing radiation); The student knows basic rules and methods of safe use of this devices; The student understands physical principles of most important physiological processes and their affection by external physical conditions (cardiovascular system, respiration, origin of membrane potentials;functioning of sensory organs); The student can exploit the main concepts in information theory and healthcare informatics

- Credits will be given based on regular attendance and a sucessful knowledge test. Exceptionally, the test can be written also as a part of the exam. In both cases. the limit is 11 right answers from 25 questions.
