- Course objectives
- Cancer diseases represent in developed countries, the main cause of death among child diseases. Cancer in children differ significantly from cancer among adults in several areas - types of the disease, an entirely different biological behavior of tumors in children as well as the specifics of the developing child patient. Basic treatment modality in pediatric oncology continues to chemotherapy, with all its adverse effects. High-quality supportive care, including adequate nutritional support is an essential prerequisite for successful treatment of children with cancer.
